about devanté:

Born & raised in Detroit Michigan & based in New York City

Devanté Melton is a designer & project coordinator specializing in creative production.

Originally a classically trained chef & graduate of The Culinary Institute of America; he began his career managing events & social media for renowned companies like Jean-Georges Management, Major Food Group & the Alinea Group - Eventually becoming Marketing Director for the restaurant group, DeRossi Global.

His passion for production led him to more creative opportunities outside of the food industry & inspired him to expand his work into visual branding & art direction.

"I enjoyed creating in the kitchen because each plate represented a combination of intuition & intention. Similar to any dish, every design concept hosts contrasting & complimentary ingredients. These aspects are then balanced & made to coexist - becoming a final product that is organic, provocative & cohesive.

When I am not out scouring the streets for the perfect plate or finding props in a forest; I can be found cooking for friends or dreaming endlessly about the world around me."
